US singer/songwriter Heatherlyn has released a Christmas EP titled 'Songs Of The Season' featuring two original songs and one cover.Opening track 'Winter Cardinal' is quiet and haunting, as Heatherlyn's strong clear voice cries out the lyrics against a simple hushed guitar. There's almost an Irish twang to the vocals, with a style that pitches somewhere between Sinead O'Connor and The Corrs. There's a sense of despair and emotion in this crooning ballad, but musically it excells in both the delivery and the intensity.
