Ellie Holcomb, renowned singer-songwriter and best-selling author of Who Sang the First Song?, announced the release of her second book and EP projects coming this spring. There are countless clues that point us to the truth, and my hope is that this book will be like a treasure map to help us all discover and remember the wonders of God’s love for us."

Holcomb's first children's EP, Sing: Creation Songs, was nominated for a 2019 Dove Award for Children's Project of the Year. Likewise in success her first book, “Who Sang the First Song?” (October 2018, B&H Publishing Group), spent several months on the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) juvenile bestseller list and was a finalist for Christian Book of the Year in the children’s category.

This EP has a good mix of styles and songs, from intimate acoustic songs to worshipful anthems, to country folk sounds that capture many different sides to Ellie as a songwriter. I have not had an opportunity to read the book that goes with this EP but from the lyrical tone of the songs I can sense this is very much an EP about God and all about God.

Opening track 'Don't Forget To Remember' has this folk sound, it has the swing to it, not like a barn dance, but more of a bluesy upbeat Country song. The song 'Wherever I Go' has an upbeat 60s inspired sound which is very enjoyable, and for me one of the best songs on the EP has to be the pop worship anthem 'God Of All Nations'.

I personally listened to the EP before reading all the PR information about it, and I tend to see that this is aimed at children, but I don't think from listening to it that it is exclusively aimed at Children. I think any person at any age can get something out of this music, I did. Yes the lyrics are not as in depth and creative as some of her releases, but this is an EP that is unashamedly about God and her love for God.
