Recorded remotely during the height of Lockdown, this song takes on a story-telling style by inviting its hearers to come on a journey of discovery - to hear the Good News of Jesus, who is God-made-flesh, born as a child on that first Christmas morning. The song then goes on to unpack the fact that Jesus did not remain a child, but grew up to become a man, the very man who died to take away our sin which enables us to have a relationship with God today.

From the moment this song is played you have a real sense of Christmas but also of story-telling, you feel Matt here is sitting everyone down to tell them about this amazing event. For me what stood out was the rich tone of Matt's vocals, these vocals are prominent throughout the whole song, he reminds me of Graham Kendrick in vocal tone, strong and rich.

This single also includes the amazing female vocals of Kat Mills. This is the first time Matt McChlery has teamed up with Kat, whose songs (‘Not Made Wrong’, ‘Church Arise’) have been played on numerous radio stations in the UK and beyond. But it's the blend and harmonies that works so well with these two, both strong in their own vocal right but also together making a lovely sound.

For a track to be recorded in lockdown isn't easy, but they have made this song work, not only is the production top quality, especially from recording in lockdown, the quality of the song is up there. You sometimes at Christmas get the same old songs, the same old sounds, but this single is a little bit different as it has been originally written, it is unique in its own world, which I hope more will hear. At the heart of the song is a strong message and it still has all the nice Christmas feeling you want to hear from a new Christmas song.
