We get asked this question a lot on LTTM. Who should I be listening to? What's great at the moment? Of course those questions are always subjective and actually we should be listening to music that touches our hearts, not what is fashionable. I know there is a whole blog in this paragraph and someone more articulate can write that, but all I ask is please keep listening and you will find stuff that touches your personal heart and soul.

Which leads me onto this artist 'Shaylee Simeone' who I personally adore. I think I might have said this before, but when I hear her sing something happens in my heart and soul that draws me closer to worship, draws me to be honest as well.

Nashville-based singer/songwriter and worship leader Shaylee Simeone is on a journey to say “yes” to God’s calling on her life. With pop-inspired music that is inherently congregational, she took her first step with a single debut of “Dearly Loved” in July 2019, eventually gaining over 2 million streams on Apple Music.

Shaylee Simeone's newest single, "Ever Closer" is a really amazing, chilled dance song, that I fell in love with on first listen, but again fell in love over and over again as I kept listening.

Shaylee said "This is a song about God drawing us closer to Him. His constant pursuit of us makes no sense the majority of the time, but He is constant and unrelenting in it. I hope this song connects people with the heart of a God that desires intimacy and closeness with His people. I hope it reminds them that there is no height or depth that can separate us from His love, whether we feel worthy of it or not."

I couldn't explain this song any better myself. All I will say is that this chilled, modern pop song is a real treat on the ears add the vocals of Shaylee and you are in for a real treat.
