For those who haven't heard of you before, can you tell us a bit about yourselves and how you got involved in making music?
Eric, Colin and myself are all from Ontario Canada and have been involved in music pretty much our entire lives. Eric and I had already been partners in running a recording studio when we were introduced to Colin when he was 15. His voice simply blew us away and since he has sung hundreds of jingles and demos for us and has become a very dear friend as well.
Tell us about your new song 'These are the Days' and what the inspiration behind it was?
I had taken some time away from writing for a few years. My mom had recently passed and my dad was days away from dying when I was sitting by a peaceful lake a few years ago and the tune and concept just flowed like a river. Life got busy but the song still remained top of mind. Then, I called Eric about 8 months ago and said we need to lay some tracks down for this song I have rolling around in my head. To me this clearly was all God, as shortly after we recorded the bed tracks... Covid hit and the world was in need of a song of hope and promise.
Do you have any plans to release further music as a collective?
Yes, I am hoping we can have another single to follow as well as an EP by early next year.
What message would you like people to take from your music?
I would love for people to see that Jesus is the answer for the world, He is the truth, the life, and the way and he is coming back again... I don't know when, but he is coming back... He promised, and I believe him.
How would you describe your style of music and what are your influences?
Wow, that is tough to answer. As jingle writers, we (Eric and I) have had to adapt to so many styles so let's just say we have done most styles. As for influences, I love the melodic, hooky, type songwriters like MacCartney on the secular side and Christian writers like Michael W Smith, Paul Baloche, Matt Redman, and Jeremy Camp just to name a few.
If you could work with any songwriter, who would it be and why?
Again, such a tough question, there are so many I would love to write with. Michael W, Baloche, Redman, Chris Tomlin, Bart (Mercy Me), Lauren Daigle, etc
How would you define success in your career as an artist?
As a brand new Christian recording collective, our success will be measured by how many people are impacted by the song's message in a positive way
What is your favorite album of all time?
Favorite Christian album: Worship - Michael W Smith
You're stuck on an island, it's hot, you only have enough battery life left to listen to one song on your phone. What track is it?
Above All
What does the next year hold for you?
I would love to continue to write and release great music, but frankly, I don't know what God has planned, Jesus has the wheel.
