London Based Independent Artist Dolli Releases Debut Single 'Wake Up'

Jan 20 2021

After a whirlwind of a year, newly emerging artist, Dolli releases a silky piece to soothe the soul. Dolli debuts at a tricky time in the world, but uses this opportunity to bestow peace to any listeners' ear.

'Wake up' premiered early on BBC Radio 1’s The Late Show with Lion Heartfelt, describing her voice as “Impeccable!”, “Comforting!” and “So holy!” and revealing her thoughts and hopes for her bright future. 'Wake Up' was birthed from her home in East London at the pinnacle of the 2020 Lockdown, when life as we know it was on pause and introspection grew popular. The track addresses social and political affairs with a refreshing neo-soul vibe and the Christian principles for survival. Centred on an undeniably smooth guitar groove from Tosin Oloyede and the heart-warming production from Idrees Oloyede of Divine Keys, this track is set to take off.

Dolli is inspired by some of the greatest legends of soul and R&B and freely writes about life, faith and love. She intends to mould a sub-genre out of soul and contemporary RnB music being "Indie-Soul" with content on the fringes of culture and values.
