Sweden's Josefina Gniste Releases 'Great Is Your Faithfulness'

Jan 18 2021

Swedish worship leader and songwriter Josefina Gniste releases the English version of her song 'Great Is Your Faithfulness' through The Orchard on 12th February 2021. The song has proved incredibly popular in the Nordics and has now been translated and recorded for a worldwide release.

In 2016 'Great is your faithfulness' was written through a Nordic song co-write between Swedish Josefina Gniste and the Norwegians: David André Østby and Vetle Jarandsen. The song was released on the debut album of Josefina Gniste (2016) and through a church in Oslo, Norway (2018).

Immediately after the Swedish release the song got off to a flying start. Many churches in the Nordics picked it up and the listeners loved Gnistes voice and the song’s comforting message about the faithfulness of God. According to the CCLI chart, the song’s been one of the most used songs in the Nordics since the release. It’s still number eight on the chart today. The Swedish version reached 1 million streams on Spotify in October 2020 as the first original worship song to do so.
