Yfriday, Abundant Life and Blush In 'Heart For Haiti' Event
Yfriday, Abundant Life Worship and BlushUK will be performing at a special charity event to raise money for Compassion projects that have been destroyed in Haiti due to the recent earthquake. NXT Ministries in conjunction with a number of other groups is organising the event, called 'Heart For Haiti', which will take place at The Victoria Hall in Stoke on Trent, England, on Friday 12th February.
Organisers say that everyone involved in the event, from the venue, to the artsts and the people providing equipment, have all given their time and effort freely and will not be receiving payment for their time, meaning that all money raised will reach the Compassion projects directly.
Before the tragic earthquake took place on 13th Jan, Compassion had over 20 projects working in Port-Au-Prince, projects that provide eduction, medical support, food and clothing and where necessary shelter and core family support. These projects made a massive difference in bringing transformation to this desperate country. The earthquake has destroyed many of these projects, it has ripped communities apart and taken away some of the infrastructure that could make a difference at a time it is so desperately needed. 'Heart For Haiti Appeal' seeks to rebuild some of these important projects making sure that the care, support and provision these projects bring are working again quickly.
There is a suggested minimum donation for tickets of £10 (£5 for concessions). Please visit NXT Ministries for more details. The concert will be broadcast live by Cross Rhythms.
