Madison Ryann Ward Releases New Single 'Anchor'

Jan 05 2022

Soulful, U.S Singer songwriter, Madison Ryann Ward released haunting, mellow, new single, ‘Anchor’ on 17th December 2021.

The thought-provoking track will resonate with many as we all hit times when we feel overwhelmed and wish we could reach out for something to steady us. In this beautiful, almost haunting track, Madison tells her own story of what grounds her in tough times.

Madison explains; “This was about letting God guide me through the middle of a hard time, and learning how to find peace despite my inability to escape the storm I felt like I was in.”

We often can’t go around a storm and when the only way is right through the middle, we all need something to hold on to that will pull us through to safety on the other side. The beautiful, layered vocals and harmonies give the song a chilled yet inspirational vibe. However your year has been this song will encourage you to hold on.

Written with and produced by Yves ‘Bus’ Bazelais and Coop The Truth with additional production by UK artist and producer, Jake Isaac, the track continues in Madison’s trend of using her stunning voice to tell relatable stories that draw us toward hope and inspiration.

About Madison: Having started off set to be a professional volleyball player, Ward’s career plans took a dramatic turn when a video of her singing in the college cafeteria went viral. She was then taken under the wing of legendary producer Rick Rubin (Def Jam) and ended up signing with American Recordings/Republic Records and moving to L.A. Despite touring with both the Zac Brown Band and Lukas Nelson, recording vocals for U2’s Bono’s ‘Women of the World’ campaign, and performing her first single ‘Mirror’ on the Jay-Z episode of David Letterman’s ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’, Ward began to realize things were not headed where she wanted to be. In 2020 she made the brave decision to leave her deal, regroup and become an independent artist.
