Philippa Hanna Releases 'Ave To Love' Single In Aid Of Haiti
The UK's Philippa Hanna has released the song 'Ave To Love' as a single on iTunes with all proceeds from the track being given to help the people of Haiti through Compassion's relief appeal. The singer co-wrote the song with Grammy Award Winning songwriter Eliot Kennedy. Just 8 weeks before the Earthquake struck, Philippa was visiting Haiti with the Compassion charity.
Explaining her decision to donate proceeds from the single to Compassion, Philippa said: "It just happened that I'd been writing a beautiful song with Grammy award winning songwriter and good friend Eliot Kennedy. The song 'Ave to love' seemed immediately special and after news of the Earthquake broke I felt compelled to use it to raise money and awareness for the people in Haiti. Charities like Compassion, the organization to which I'm donating the proceeds of 'Ave to Love', will be there for the long haul and I want to do all I can to support them.
As well as donating the proceeds of this single I'm hoping that the single will raise awareness for their child-sponsorship program. Child sponsorship is a fantastic long-term solution to the issue of child poverty. When we get alongside a child in monthly support, we give their families and communities a better chance at survival. By creating strong, healthy, well-educated adults we can help build a better future for nations like Haiti."
