Luminate Release Self-Titled Debut EP

Mar 23 2010

Texas-based pop/rock band Luminate release their self-titled debut EP today, 23rd March 2010. The anthemic set, featuring the group's first single 'Shine (Love Is an Action)' plus 'Spirit of Love', 'My God', 'Miracle', 'Hear Our Cry', and 'Fearlessly', was produced by Dove Award winner Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Third Day).

The band, who are made up of Samuel Hancock (lead vocals, guitar), Cody Clark (guitar), Dustin DeLong (keyboard), Dusty Jakubik (bass) and Aaron Mathew (drums), recently received a celebrity endorsement from actor and country music star Billy Ray Cyrus who said, "Luminate. Write it down. Get to know them now before it happens. They're gonna be huge!"

Discussing the album, band member Cody said, "We’ve recorded a mixture of what we grew up listening to and what we’ve discovered together as a band. Instinctively, we like writing songs that people can sing to, but more importantly, we want to write songs that are honest." Explaining the band's first single, 'Shine (Love is an Action)',
lead singer Sam says, "that song is literally just a call to really put love into action. Cody and I wrote that song with [producer] Ed Cash and hope that it will be a message all in the church will take to heart."

Luminate are currently appearing on the 'Alive Tour' with Superchick and John Reuben, which continues through until the end of May.
