Manchester’s Folk Gospel Artist Singer-Songwriter Emma Mould Releases 'Call' Recorded Live At Manchester Cathedral

Apr 13 2023

Manchester’s Folk Gospel Artist Singer-Songwriter Emma Mould releases the first single, with a live video recording, from her latest EP 'Call', Recorded Live At Manchester Cathedral.

Emma’s personal story of redemption is captured in this live version of the song, simply and effortlessly in a space that was created to tell such stories in. This is the first of three singles - leading up to the release of the EP in the summer, along with the live video’s of Emma and her band.

Speaking about her latest single release Emma said, “Filling a Candlelit Cathedral with friends and music - straight out of lockown January 2022 was such a momentous occasion. It was a special night, with huge support from friends all over the city - we were graced to have the Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Manchester ‘ Cllr Tommy Judge” also in attendance. Filling a sacred iconic space with these songs and a beautiful band was a huge honour for me, to be able to get to share it now for the many who were not able to be in person attendance due to the covid pandemic - really is a dream come true”.

“This song was written to be released on a day like Good Friday, I am so thankful for everything that Jesus has done in my life.

Revealing Himself to someone like me, walking a lifetime by His side has been the most suprising, humbling and overwhelming response to me “calling out his name in a near death experience when I was 14 years old."

Often compared to the likes of Adele and Tracey Chapman, Emma Mould has been singing professionally since 2015 and has never looked back. She has since played at various venues across the city and has contributed to BBC Radio.

Call’ will be available to download and stream on all major outlets including Spotify, Itunes and others.
