Somebody Please Help Haiti Charity Concert In London

Jun 02 2010

The leading names in British Gospel music will be coming together for a special fund raising concert on Saturday, 5th June 2010. The 'Somebody Please Help Haiti' Concert takes place at Tooting NTA, London, and features Victizzle, Beverley Trotman, Roger Samuels, Lurine Cato, IDMC, Matthew Allen and others.

The charity concert aims to raise money for Haiti. Admission is free but a donation will be collected. The concert will also feature the first ever live performance of the charity single 'Somebody Please', which was released on 25th April.

Over 250 of the UK's leading worship and gospel artists gathered to record the single at the legendary Abbey Road studios, London, in February to raise funds for survivors of the Haiti earthquake. The song, 'Somebody Please' was written by Israel Houghton and Noel Robinson for last year's One Voice album. The single is available as a digital download with all proceeds going to Compassion International, the Christian charity that partners with churches throughout the world to support children.
