Former DC Talk Singer Kevin Max Wants Band Reunion

Jun 03 2010

Kevin Max, former member of one of Christian music's all time biggest groups DC Talk, has told fans that he would like to see the band reforming for a reunion tour in 2011. The Grammy award winning trio, consisting of Kevin Max, TobyMac and Michael Tait, took a break from the band in 2000 to pursue individual solo projects.

Writing on his Twitter page, Kevin Max said "Trying to get a DCT tour happening, perhaps next year, any of you down?", before later adding "Yes I am serious. I don't want to see the bands legacy go down like a Lost Titanic."

Kevin's comments will excite DC Talk's legion of fans who have been desperate to see the band reunited. Since 2000 the band members have all enjoyed success with their chosen projects. TobyMac released his latest album 'Tonight' earlier this year, featuring the Number 1 Billboard single 'City On Our Knees', and continues to tour extensively. Michael Tait has taken over as lead singer of the popular band Newsboys, who are set to release their new album 'Born Again' in July. Kevin Max has released a number of solo albums, starting with the successful 'Stereotype Be', and his new album 'Cotes d' Armor' was due for release earlier this year but has since been delayed.

DC Talk released five major studio albums together, beginning with their self titled debut in 1989, and including the legendary 'Jesus Freak' album in 1995. The group is widely considered to be the most popular Christian act of all time.
