Day of Fire Announce 'Indefinite Hiatus'

Jun 09 2010

Hard rock band Day of Fire have effectively signaled the end of the band after announcing an "indefinite hiatus". Breaking the news on their various social networking websites, the band said: "We have decided to take an indefinite hiatus. Sincere thanks to all our friends, fans, and associates who've supported us along the way. We've greatly enjoyed the years spent making music together. We'll be playing 3 more shows this year: Ichthus, Lifelight, and Night of Joy. We'd love to see you all out there for a proper goodbye rocking."

The news comes as a surprise since Day Of Fire only released their third album 'Losing All' in January 2010. It was their first new album since 2006's 'Cut & Move', following up their self titled 2005 debut album.

The first of the band's final three live performances will be next week at the Ichthus Music Festival in Wilmore, Kentucky on 17th June. They will then perform two final shows in September, first at LifeLight Festival in Worthing, South Dakota on 3rd September and then at Night of Joy at Disney World in Orlando, Florida on 11th September.
