Yfriday Lead Singer Ken Riley Working On Solo Album

Oct 20 2010

As British worship band Yfriday prepares to bow out with two final concerts at the end of October, the band's lead singer Ken Riley has revealed plans for a solo career. Already established as a song writer, having co-written the award winning worship anthem 'Everlasting God' with Brenton Brown, Ken has now begun work on a solo album.

Talking exclusively to LouderThanTheMusic in an interview to be published tomorrow, Ken said: "The first Ken Riley solo album is being written and I'll be out playing with a new band next year all being well. I'll also build upon my role as producer and focus on developing new writers material."

Ken recently took on the role of producer for fellow North of England band The Steels on their new album 'Supreme', which was released this week. Yfriday will be performing at Leicester's Athena on 29th October before bowing out with their final farewell concert in their home city of Newcastle at the City Hall on 31st October. Visit the Yfriday website for tickets and details.

Check out the full Yfriday interview on LTTM tomorrow.
