Katelynne Cox Releases New Album 'One Girl'

May 19 2011

Fresh-faced teen pop singer Katelynne Cox released her first full-length album 'One Girl' this week. The twelve track album is available now from the US iTunes and UK iTunes stores, and was produced by Grammy Award nominee Aaron Rice (Tobi Mac, Mandisa, Brit Nicole).

"I chose 'One Girl' as the title of the CD," explains Katelynne, "it talks about being one girl in a crowd, standing up and saying what you want to be said and not trying to blend in with everyone else. It talks about being proud of who you are and being unique. We have another song on there called 'You and Me', and it starts off with 'Thanks John Mayer, but we're not waiting on the world to change.' It's all about not conforming and making your own decisions. It's about choosing your life and what you want to do and who you want to be and not letting others influence that."

Katelynne released her first EP 'Unbelievable' in September 2008, which debuted on the top of MySpace and internet charts with the popular single 'Got A Feeling'. She was accepted into the first American Idol camp in 2008, which led to her recording the National Anthem for KUPL, a local radio station in Portland, Oregon.
