Newsboys Begin Recording New Album 'God's Not Dead'

Jul 07 2011

The hugely popular pop rock band Newsboys have entered the studio to start recording their brand new forthcoming studio album 'God's Not Dead', scheduled for release on 15th November 2011. The album will be the follow up to their massively successful 'Born Again' album which was released last year and debuted at number 4 on the main Billboard 200 charts in its first week.

Seth Mosley, record producer and lead singer from the band Me In Motion who also co-wrote songs on 'Born Again', is working with Newsboys in the studio on the new album. On Monday (4th July) Seth wrote on Twitter "Here we go! Day 1 tracking some out of this world vocals with Michael Tait newsboys record comin up!", later adding "Look who dropped by the studio today to cut vocals... Jody Davis" (see photo, right).

Newsboys wrote on their own Twitter page, "Work on the next record has officially begun.. Here's Duncan laying down a couple tracks to prove it".

'Born Again' was the first Newsboys album to feature new lead singer Michael Tait (formerly of DC Talk) who took over when Peter Furler left the band. The album was rereleased as 'Born Again: Miracles Edition' earlier this year with five additional new songs and four remixes.
