The Weathering To Release 'The Sea Cares For Its Own'

Mar 28 2013

Hong Kong based duo The Weathering will release their new album 'The Sea Cares For Its Own' on 9th April 2013. Originally from the US, Jeff and Leora Caylor, have created their own brand of dream pop full of romantic imagery and unique melodies.

The self-produced debut album was originally released in February and The Weathering have subsequently made appearances on Hong Kong radio and television. 7Core Music have now picked up the project and will release it in the UK and Europe.

"7Core Music have been fans of the music of Jeff Caylor for a while now and are super pleased to be able to release the debut album from him and his wife Leora aka The Weathering", says 7 Core.

"Fans of Ellie Goulding, Passion Pit and The Postal Service will love this album. The Weathering's music has been described as 'Indie-Pop for fans of magic and mermaids'. A fitting description given the innovative pop melodies and imaginative (yet accessible) lyrics."

"The Weathering is the result of a dream we have had since we met: to write beautiful music that catches your ear with picture-painting lyrics", explain the husband and wife duo in a forthcoming interview with Louder Than The Music.

"For years we have both pursued music to varied ends on our own but this album is our first official collaboration and we're really excited about the result!"
