What is there not to love about this album? Firstly, Chris has this wonderful voice, it's not a punchy vocal, it has a rich and smooth sound, much like a fine coffee blend. Furthermore, these songs just work, they are allowed space and time to become stunning worship songs to God. These songs are not rushed, they take their time to impact the listener closer to God.
There are many stunning tracks on this album. From the air punching All Consuming Fire to the beautiful title track Everything And Nothing Less. It's also a joy to hear Kim Walker-Smith on the track On Earth As It Is In Heaven, which is a classic sounding Jesus Culture song. Yet for me it's the intimate sounds of the spirit led track Thirsty that grabs you and takes you that one step closer to the King of Kings.
You can tell that Chris is from the same musical shed as Jesus Culture (what an amazing tool shed of music that is). So if you like the sounds of Jesus Culture, you will love this album. I enjoyed it so much, not only did the songs have a big impact on me and my soul, it's the way they had an impact that must be commended. These songs don't hit you in the face like some big anthems can, instead these songs dig into the heart of the listener and change you forever. It's those songs that stick around for a long time, and these are songs that will last a long time.
