The Corner Room Releases Innovative 'Psalm Songs'

Mar 28 2016

The Corner Room, a ministry of Cahaba Park Church in Birmingham, Alabama, has released 'Psalm Songs, Vol. 1', a new collection of ten musical settings of Psalms written verbatim from the ESV Bible.

'Psalm Songs' provides a fresh and unique way for children, students, adults, pastors, congregations and others in ministry to know, sing, share and ultimately love the Word of God.

"In January of 2015, I created The Corner Room, a music ministry that seeks to write unique and innovative music for the church", explains Adam Wright who leads worship at Cahaba Park Church.

"This year, I've released ten Psalms set to original music, "Psalm Songs, Volume 1." The text is taken straight from the ESV Bible. The vision and prayer for this music would be that those who hear it would know God and His Word more deeply.

It is a great meditation and memorization tool and is intended for individuals, children, families and churches. As the Psalms are diverse in emotion and style, so these songs seek to capture the joy, sorrow, worship and personal reflection expressed by the psalmist.

Ranging in style from bluegrass to rock to folk, each Psalm is given a fitting and unique musical backdrop.

We challenge you to give these a listen and see if it doesn’t impact the way you view and interact with Scripture. When we know and love God’s Word more deeply, we will know and love God more deeply. Psalm Songs is a tool to help us make that connection."
