For the past couple of months I seem to have been on the outside of some loop watching people hyping up Britt Nicole. From Twitter to Louder Than The Music people seem to be preparing for the release of the sophomore release of The Lost Get Found in anticipation of how big it is going to be. So I was pretty excited to finally get my hands on the album and see for myself what all the fuss is about.

So I was pretty excited to finally get my hands on the album and see for myself what all the fuss is about.

I haven't heard Britt's debut release Say It so I can't comment on the progression between the two albums but I can tell you that this is a great album. Each of the 11 tracks contained on The Lost Get Found is wonderfully melodic and unique yet fits perfectly in the flow of the album. Is there a formula being followed? Yes; undeniably. But it works and I think that is why it is so surprising and refreshing that each of the tracks still manages sound unique.

Britt Nicole has a beautiful voice that has probably be honed to perfection during her life singing in choruses and now portrays soul, attitude and passion in all the right places. The lyrics are equally crafted and sit perfectly alongside the catching melodies which will have you singing the songs in your head after one listen.

In the secular music world there was a phase a few years ago when a lot of female singers came out to show rival Britney Spears' bubble-gum pop, I'm talking about the likes of Avril Lavine, Kelly Clarkson and Ashley Simpson and I think this is where Britt Nicole would fit in. She has the attitude at times of Avril, the beats of Ashley and the vocal ability of Kelly.

Every once in a while you find a track that perfectly sums up something you have been trying to say for ages but have never managed to find the words. For me, Have Your Way is that track. It is the perfect pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Simply with that and the wonderfully written Headphones the album would be worth buying but the truth s that there are 9 other fantastic tracks that come along with them and you really shouldn't miss out on any one of them.
