Tommy Faulk Releases 'Come What May'

Feb 01 2018

Louisiana based worship leader Tommy Faulk released his new album 'Come What May' on 26th January 2018, available from all digital outlets. The new album follows Tommy's debut album, 'Valleys in Between', which was released in 2010.

"I've always tried to write from where I am and what I'm going through", explains Tommy. "Everyone that I've come to truly respect and do my best to learn from has shown me that. The truth is, however, there are some lessons you learn and seasons you go through that really do not seem to yield any artistic response. At least that's how it seemed to me for a while... A number of these songs were birthed out of a season of trust and search that, in some ways, isn't over... Some may feel this way, you know?

You try and try to define who you are and where you're heading and one day you look up and it's all different. Maybe nothing around you has changed but, in your heart, you know that something has started inside of you; a need to re-grasp what you were holding onto... Of course, your constant grip remains firmly on Jesus because if you lose that, then you REALLY have nothing, but, as you try to go back, you begin to understand that grip is gone. You've suddenly been challenged to change. The old and familiar is now becoming foreign and a small dot in your rear-view mirror and you ask God, 'what am I supposed to be learning, here?'"

Coming from a musical family, as well as a strong Christian faith, Tommy has had the chance to see first hand the influence His Savior can make through melody.

"I've had the privilege of being involved in music and worship since I was really young. God has shown and taught me a great deal through making music for Him. As long as He allows me to do this, I'm going to do it. There's something about the power of unity in song; when we're all going to the same place together, seeing the same truth together, worshiping God together... it's beyond words... it's powerful. I'm so grateful to be able to do this and will continue to learn all I can as I walk down this road."
