University Gospel Choir of the Year Finals Taking Place In London

The award-winning University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY) finals is back for its 8th annual show this spring! A 'Sister Act 2-esque' event for the whole family and music lovers will have you up on your feet and singing your way out of the venue! UGCY promises to be jam packed, melody filled and guaranteed to leave you uplifted and inspired! The Dominion Centre in London, Wood Green, on 24th March 2018 will play host to this year’s proceedings.

After achieving success with features in The X-Factor, Britain's Got Talent, the BBC Gospel Proms and the launch of the UGCY Ghana Edition, UGCY is aiming to stage the most spectacular show yet.

University choirs from across the country have submitted their entries and the judges, after much deliberation, have selected the top 9 university Gospel choirs (plus defending champions London College of Creative Media choir) to battle it out in the hopes of taking home the prestigious UGCY 2018 title.

The returning judges who will preside over who is crowned UGCY 2018 are: singer and songwriter Stephanie Sounds and Creative/Music Director Ayo 'Ace' Oyerinde. Mobo Award winning Gospel Artist Volney Morgan and legendary Record Producer/A&R Manager Les Moir from Integrity Music will join as guest judges. Resident host Rachel Kerr (MOBO award winner) will also be back to host the show.
