The Bright Expression Return With New Single 'Cradle'

Jun 25 2018

UK based indie band The Bright Expression are back with their new single 'Cradle', three years after the release of their debut album 'Bone By Bone'. The band bring hypnotic melody lines, honest lyrics and blend ethereal soundscapes with raw tangible energy. Stradling the line between sacred and secular they occupt the third space believing that worship is multiphasited.

"These last few years, we’ve lost loved ones, grown our families, experienced mental health issues, travelled the world, expanded our businesses, had many sleepless nights, risked our reputations, grappled with our faith, lost and found hope, felt God in the midst of everything and grown to love each other more deeply", explains the band. "Life is beautiful and complicated. Cradle is an adult lullaby. While we don’t need to know all the answers, we do always need to feel connection and comfort.

We wrote Cradle around the idea of creating a comforting sound after being inspired by the movie Gravity. In the studio we started playing with the idea of running a human heartbeat and a baby sonogram through the track, looking at different ways to create the feeling of comfort."
