Sep 26 2018

Seattle-based Hip-Hop artist DJ em-D has releases his new single, 'Turn the Lights On', featuring Spencer Kane, ahead of his forthcoming album 'Light of the City', due for release in October 2018.

Born in Subic Bay, Philippines, DJ em-D left at the age of nine to Oxnard, CA; where DJ em-D was introduced to Hip-Hop. From there, he moved to the Pacific Northwest. In 2002, DJ em-D gave his life to Jesus Christ. DJ em-D's dream of DJ’ing finally started to come into play when he partnered with his friend, Wes Harp, to create an CHH internet radio station - Saving Lost Souls Radio. Their mission was fueled by the belief that words are powerful, and they wanted this generation, and the next to be aware of the affect music has on their hearts. He first started spinning for Genuine Life, as well as other Northwest CHH artists.

His first big exposure came through the annual 4th of July "Freedom Fair" located in Tacoma, WA, with 80,000 to 100,000 in attendance. He was also part of an opening performance for the "Together We Worship" with Tye Tribett along with Eva Sabiniano. DJ em-D has helped put together a concert for DESNA Cup Soccer Tournament with 5,000 to 7,000 in attendance, in Federal Way, WA. During the summer of 2015 he had a great opportunity to DJ at the nation's largest annual Christian music festival in the United States, "Creation Festival Northwest" with over 100,000 in attendance.

He was the DJ for artists NF, Propaganda, nobigdyl, Bizzle, Ruslan, S.O., Spencer Kane, Abigail Duhon and many more. DJ em-D still believes that words are powerful, and music is critical. He has a love, and passion to show people that there is an alternative to secular music, and it can be used to create amazing atmospheres for parties and events. He is ready to use his gift to make any party, or event come alive with music.
