Chloé Releases Vulnerable Debut Single 'Need You'

Jul 25 2019

Montréal, Canada, born singer Chloé, who now resides in Nashville, TN, has released her debut single 'Need You', a perfect blend of Top 40 Pop and heartfelt Worship. Chloé's pure and raw talent is proven through her authentic lyrics and her breathtaking vocal performance. The simple yet powerful lyrics will captivate any listener and tug on the heart strings as 'Need You' truly connects the audience to Chloé's personal experiences.

"This song came from a place in my life of being completely vulnerable before God", explains Chloé. "It was my cry. Two years ago, I had a lot of life happen. From getting married, to moving country, living somewhere without any friends or family around me. It felt as though I was starting over. Payden had just left for Europe, and I remember it like it was yesterday. We had just moved into our new place, with little to no furniture. I remember opening our patio door and planting myself on the floor listening to the birds coming from the outside. And I began to weep. I felt hopeless and lost. “Need you” was my cry out to God. “When darkness steals the hope of the light” STILL, “I will sing a song, that pulls on your heart”

The words are simple. “I love you, I need you”. He’s all I needed in that very moment. Still today that’s been my prayer. Gods been wrecking my world! His timing is everything. So in the waiting, still “I love you, I need you”. I pray that this song resonates in the hearts of every listener, letting the Holy Spirit mend what’s broken, making it whole. In Jesus name!"

Chloé and her husband Payden Hilliard (drummer of the 4 times Grammy nominated band Leeland) have formed a dynamic songwriting team whose focus is to paint a vivid picture of their life journey together. The title track 'Need You' is a simple prayer that truly speaks to the soul.
