Switchfoot Added To Big Church Day Out Line Up
US rockers Switchfoot have been added to the confirmed lineup for the Big Church Day Out 2010 event. The Californian band, led by frontman Jon Foreman, have just released their brand new album 'Hello Hurricane'.
Also added to the lineup is singer Stuart Pendred who will join the event's classical programme along with the Kings Chamber Orchestra. Other artists already confirmed to appear in 2010 are: Hillsong United, Toby Mac (DC Talk), Israel Houghton, Tim Hughes, Brenton Brown, Graham Kendrick, Lou Fellingham, Tom & Olly and LZ7.
Now in its second year, Big Church Day Out has been expanded to three dates across two different locations. The first venue is Wiston House in West Sussex on Sunday 30th May and Bank Holiday Monday 31st May. In addition, the event will also take place at Stanford Hall in the Midlands on Saturday 29th May. Exactly the same programme, with all the same performers and worship leaders, will run on all three days.
Tickets are available now from the event website: www.bigchurchdayout.co.uk. Tickets purchased during the 'Early Bird' phase will be substantially cheaper than the on-the-gate price. There are also big discounts for group bookings.
Say the organisers, "2010 will see us taking the BigChurchDayOut to even more people. Wiston was a sell-out in 2009. In fact, we were the UK's biggest one-day Christian event, in our first year! So, we're adding a second date rather than increasing the capacity on one day. You get to choose between coming on Sunday or Monday. Whichever day you choose, you'll enjoy the same lineup. We're delighted to announce a second venue Stanford Hall in Leicestershire, just a few minutes off J24 of the M1. Like Wiston, Stanford is a beautiful estate, offering wonderful opportunities for worship and celebration. You'll find the same lineup on the Main Stage and the same quality of catering; in short, you'll enjoy the Stanford experience just as much as the Wiston one!"
