Award Winning Gospel Artist Victoria Tunde Announces Debut Album 'New Creation'
Following the successful release of four singles since bursting unto the UK gospel scene in December 2018 with hits including ‘Lost For Words’ which has garnered around 500k Youtube views, the Gospel Touch Award-winning artist Victoria Tunde, announces her debut album ‘New Creation’. The highly anticipated body of anointed artistry is set for release on 27th March 2020.
Mainly captured live in London at her recording event ‘The Awakening Live 2019’, New Creation is an 8-track rollercoaster ride of eclectic, dynamic and emotive contemporary worship music with often simple, yet powerful and convincingly heartfelt vocals from Victoria. It features guests artists the Osby Berry (USA) and the amazing Sarah Téibo who makes an unexpected but sweet appearance on the track aptly called ‘Everything’.
Don’t go looking for a title track as there isn’t one! New Creation is anchored on 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.†A right of passage for every Christian and an acknowledged lyrical theme in every song.
The musical arrangement purposely keeps you guessing as you move through the 9 track album, yet is undeniably irresistible with moving electronic and acoustic guitar features, stirring strings, slick background vocals and soothing melodies that grip the listener from the opening track ‘I Am Nothing’ until the very last.
The album features a mix of songs written or co-written by Victoria as far back as 2009, and a cover of ‘God I Look To You’ a very special worship song by Bethel Music. The album is dedicated to Victoria’s mum; who on passing away on 22nd November 1987, left an indelible stamp of tenacity and encouragement that continues to live on in her.
Produced by Michael Idowu, New Creation will be available to download and stream on all major platforms. Victoria will also be bucking the trend and releasing a limited edition run of CDs.
