Blissful New Single and #Stuckathome Video from Christian Artist Johan Glidden

May 14 2020

Emerging artist Johan Glidden is releasing his new single 'Sing a Song With No Words' on May 14th, the first of a batch of new singles, with an album expected in early 2021. The new song and made-at-home video is a blissful, lighthearted response to God’s call to praise Him with new songs. A musical balm for the fear and anxiety swirling in our world’s current crisis, 'Sing a Song With No Words' reminds listeners of all that the Lord is doing for them - right here, right now.

“I’ve always known that the psalms were written to be sung. Still, I usually read them in silence, missing the rhythm, missing the music. No more! Writing and recording this song has been an exercise in joy.

Abandoning my impulse to write another heavy song, I dug into the most lovely aspects of God’s character. I ended up with a fun song in spite of myself. Even in the most unsettling times, our Father has joy to spare.”

Johan Glidden is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Arizona. In the past, he has performed in pop, blues, country, bluegrass, and gospel music. He was a founding member of Sugar & The Mint, the youngest band to ever win the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Contest (2017).

Now as a solo artist, he’s working to glorify God with songs that uplift and share his personal experience with Christ. Johan seeks to be his honest self in his music, sharing his joy, pain, struggle and victory through memorable, unique melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

His influences range from Rich Mullins to The Beatles to Lady Gaga, and he has an appetite for exploring new sounds within his own songs. Johan finds himself most at home within Christian Pop and Americana.
