Interview: Brandon Lenuel

Jun 04 2020

Brandon Lenuel, an upcoming Christian artist from Florida, just released his new single 'Only With You'. Louder Than The Music chatted with him to find out how he got started in music and where the inspiration behind his songs comes from.

For those who haven't heard of you before, can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got involved in making music?

I grew up singing in church my whole life so I have always been around music but recently in 2019 I finally got the opportunity to record music and let my voice be heard by the world! Aside from music I love to play sports and spend time with my loved ones!

Tell us about your new single 'Only With You' and what the inspiration behind it was?

Only With You is a song that means a lot to me because I personally deal with overthinking and I always doubt myself in many situations. This song explains how with Jesus that can go away and no matter how hard a battle in our minds can get, we can always come out on top if we seek help through God.

Do you have plans to release any further music in the near future?

I have a lot of music in the works and will be releasing more in the very near future!

What message would you like people to take from your music?

The message I want people to receive through my music is the message of Jesus! I only wish to spread love through any music I make.

How would you describe your style of music and what are your influences?

My style is modern pop but I really enjoy and respect all styles and genres of music. My influence has always been gospel and church music! But admire many artists from the past and the present.

If you could work with any songwriter, who would it be and why?

I’d love to work with Tauren Wells one day. He’s always been one of my favorites and a huge role model for me. I love his music, his talent and his love for Jesus.

How would you define success in your career as an artist?

Success to me is defined by whether or not I spread Jesus through my music, if one person is positively impacted by my music then I consider it a success.

What is your favorite album of all time?

I don’t have a favorite all time album I love too many of them!

You're stuck on an island, it's hot, you only have enough battery life left to listen to one song on your phone. What track is it?

If I had one last song to listen to I’d probably listen to Ever Be, spanish version!!

What does the next year hold for you?

The next year for me holds many surprises and hopefully a lot of music! Really excited and I hope many people join me on that journey!
