I really do try to be open-minded when it comes to genres, after all good music is good music, but alarm bells did start ringing when I noticed my computer labelling up the mp3's as 'New Age'.

When I started listening I was reminded of two episodes of Scrubs; one where a patient is in a band who Dr Cox arranges to come in and play for him before they go off on tour for a few months. There are about 20 members of this band who are all dressed like hippies and play the kind of music you would associate with the look. The second is an episode where there is a guitarist following JD around singing songs relevant to whatever he is thinking at the time.
As open minded as I try to be about music, in the style of Austin Powers, this really isn't my bag baby. There are some really great lyrics in there but unfortunately they are the only real highlights.
Musically the whole album feels like a demo at best, too raw and basic. The vocals are sketchy for the most part although there are some nice harmonies in places. The melodies are pleasant but not captivating enough to carry off the rawness of the production.
I'm sure there will be people out there that love this kind of music but I'm just looking for something a little bit more. So, in the style of the X-Factor auditions, it's a no from me.
