Celebrated Gospel artist Byron Cage has released his eagerly anticipated ninth album 'Memoirs of a Worshiper' which was recorded live at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago.

Read More Celebrated Gospel artist Byron Cage has released his eagerly anticipated ninth album 'Memoirs of a Worshiper' which was recorded live at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago.
Anyone familiar with Cage's work will be expecting the usual high energy opening track. But the 50 year old American Minister opts to start his latest album with a slow tempo ballad duet, ably supported by the beautiful vocals of Mumen "Mookie" Ngenge.
'Gratitude' is a must listen song for anyone that appreciates Cage and a Gospel Ballad. In fact it took a while to listen to the rest of the album as 'Gratitude' was constantly on repeat.
The album then bursts into an up beat song called 'Out Of Them All' to get you moving. This is where you really start to appreciate the talent of Calvin Rogers on drums and Arron W. Lindsey on keys.
The third track 'Victory' is also worth singling out as it has the legendary Gospel artist Fred Hammond as a guest vocalist. The song has a great Afro Cuban feel to it and the message is about praising and expressing yourself and that is exactly what it makes you want to do.
The album then goes into a reflective worship time with a number of tracks to lyrically challenge and inspire you. 'Memoirs of a Worshiper' is another album for Cage to be proud of. Musically and vocally it is an excellent album that will appeal to any Gospel fan.
The album finishes with the song 'Troubles Away' which is an optimistic happy song with a great positive message. Although 'Memoirs of a Worshiper' is not the best album released by Cage, it is definitely worth adding to your Gospel repertoire.
