This album is an elegant, mature and classical instrumental album. There are moments of pure brilliance here, and there are moments that are also hauntingly beautiful - and if that wasn't enough, there are also moments that just capture your soul when you start to listen.
I found myself at times simply enjoying the classical elements of the album so much that I got lost in the different songs. In general the album is more in the classical genre and you might have guessed this when you knew there was an 88-piece orchestra on the album. Yet a few times there are some modern musical moments popping up on the album too. You might be thinking this is just going to sound a bit old school, but Brian and Jenn Johnson have also managed to keep it all feeling and sounding fresh and modern.
This album sounds different to most albums out now, but for all the right reasons, and it is such a stunning album. This new album is classical, instrumental and modern orchestral music at its best.
