I have to admit that this isn't the kind of album I would usually pick up; I was never a fan of the whole Spice Girls mantra and the Women of Faith thing just screams the same to me. But my good friend Judy has been to a few Women of Faith events in America and has told me how amazing they are so curiosity got the better of me so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I was actually pretty pleasantly surprised by this album. It has a definite gospel feel to it which I quite like; it the cool kind of Sister Act gospel music, full of passion and energy. Some of the songs may have a certain cheese factor in the lyrics but simple truths which have been told before sometimes do have a cheesiness to them.
This album is simply uplifting. The songs are each perfect expressions of faith and love in Jesus. Some of the lyrics are heart-stirring expressions that most people, not just women, could identify with. The sound of each song varies but they still manage to complement each other and fit nicely into the album. There are also some beautiful vocals and musical arrangements which make it a really interesting album to listen to.
Make It 'Til Tomorrow starts of sounding like a Boyz II Men song from back in the mid 90's but as the duet carries on it has a bizarre blend of old British band Eternal mixing with Boyz II Men and the duet from Beauty and the Beast with a gospel-esque chorus - sounds weird right? But it actually really works.
And I think that sums up the whole album to be honest. It's surprisingly good and, what I really wasn't expecting was that some of the tracks will be making it onto my daily music playlists. So I encourage you to give it a chance.
