Bee Bakare has released her new single 'Awake'. Bee is also set to release more music from her crowdfunded album 'Wild Things'.

When asked about the new track Bee stated: "It’s an upbeat song but the song actually came from a dark place. I was struggling with sleeping, feeling unlucky in love and like my dreams weren't happening. In my imagination I pictured myself in a happy place, perfect guy, sweet life, my music dreams coming true. The song became a temporary escape from reality. It sort of rescued me. Every night I played it to myself as a comfort. Then I got into studio with my producer and that really brought the song to life."
Having received support from the likes of BBC music Introducing, BBC radio London & Bristol, Premier radio, London live and Celeb mix, Nigeria-born British singer-songwriter draws inspiration from the likes of Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill and India Arie. Bee Bakare hopes to spread a message of embracing your natural beauty, self-love and being yourself.
Having recently featured on BBC one's primetime 'All Together now' with spice girl Geri Horner and performed at Buckingham palace, Bee has recently won a Future music Songwriting award. Her talents don’t just lie within music either the young entrepreneur is a host of her own live music nights showcasing women in music.
Her single ‘10000’ released 19th July 2019 premiered on Celeb mix and has received extensive radio play on the likes of BBC music Introducing, featured live on Talk Radio and interview on London Live that included an exclusive insight into her new music video. The video received 10,000 views in the first 10 days of release.
