Singer/Songwriter Bee Bakare Returns with Female Empowering Anthem '10000'
Having received support from the likes of BBC Radio London, Premier Radio and Huffington Post, Nigeria-born British singer-songwriter BeeBakare returns with heartfelt, female empowering anthem '10000' on 19th July. Pulling inspiration from the likes of Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston and India Arie, Beehopes to spread the message of embracing your natural beauty, self-love and being yourself.
Having recently won the Future Music Songwriting Award and appeared as a judge on the BBC One primetime TV show ‘All Together Now’ alongside Spice Girl Geri Horner, Bee was given the opportunity to perform at Buckingham Palace. Her talents don’t just lie within music either. The young entrepreneur is the host of her own thriving live music nights, Soul Stripped Sessions, where she showcases women in music.
When asked about the track, Bee stated: “It's hard watching other people looking happy and in love and wondering why that hasn't happened yet for you. I haven't actually dated that much. My Christian faith is always a massive source of encouragement and I've grown up with that as a connection to love and hope in my life. The song is about what I imagine true love is like. When I'm with that person who loves me completely and will somehow make up for all the past hurts.”
