Bee Bakare Releases New Single 'Awake'
Nigeria-born British singer-songwriter
Bee Bakare has released her new single 'Awake'. Bee is also set to release more music from her crowdfunded album 'Wild Things'.
When asked about the new track Bee stated: "It’s an upbeat song but the song actually came from a dark place. I was struggling with sleeping, feeling unlucky in love and like my dreams weren't happening. In my imagination I pictured myself in a happy place, perfect guy, sweet life, my music dreams coming true. The song became a temporary escape from reality. It sort of rescued me. Every night I played it to myself as a comfort. Then I got into studio with my producer and that really brought the song to life."
