For all who don't know much about Dupree, The Dupree family is rooted in the core of their faith and their music. Lauren was raised in East Tennessee where music was an integral part of her life. The musical bond progressed as Dylan and Lauren played music at church for many years. Dylan studied guitar from the age of 7, and has always been passionate to combine his craft with his ministry.

At age 18 before attending college, Dylan was invited to join the platinum-selling band LFO’s 2017 reunion tour as lead guitarist. Dylan and Lauren were also writing/producing/recording Christian songs together at that time.

Dylan was accepted to Berklee College of Music, then chose to stay local and studied guitar at Rollins College in Orlando, FL. In 2018, the duo’s song “Everlasting Love” was featured on Spotify's New Music Friday Christian playlist. In 2019, they officially formed the duo DUPREE, and their Christian ministry spreads the message of belonging for all of God’s children, bringing everyone together through music.

What I love about these two is the fact is that they both compliment each other, I was worried when I first heard about a mother and son duo, it would not work, or one would be better than the other, or even that the fact they were family was a gimmick. This is so far from the truth. This is two great musicians that work together so well, it works on so many levels. You have the quality control of some rich vocals from Lauren and then a really great guitar tone from Dylan. I think I said this before on the review of the single 'Mighty', but the bond with these two is so great that it does start to filter out into the music.

This track doesn't rush off anywhere, it doesn't need to, this is a song that sits perfectly in the middle and flows. The song is more atmospheric, vocally, than I was expecting - but the beat, rhythm and pace is steady from start to finish. 'Your Way' is about changing your ways and trusting in God’s way rather than trying to do it your way. By seeking forgiveness and trusting in Him we can obtain happiness and peace by following the path He has written for us.
