The Word66 Release Rocking Cover of 'Spirit In The Sky'

Christian rock band The Word66 have released their latest single, a rocking cover of the classic 'Spirit In The Sky'. The band also invited singer Megan Ruger, from The Voice, to sing backing vocals on the track. The song was originally written and recorded by Norman Greenbaum and became a huge worldwide hit when it was released in late 1969.



Earlier this year The Word66 released their debut single 'On The Way To The Promise Land', based on the book of Exodus. The single has received enormous radio interest, charting in the Top 10 on Spider Web Radio.


Edgy with a touch of commercial acceptability, the Christian rock band The Word66 is bringing to you it's catchy melodies and thought provocative lyrics. Founding member Steve Scott had lost his way from the church and his love for playing music for many years until God brought him back to fulfill this purpose.

Each song has it's own heartfelt message that fellow brothers and sisters will relate to with a deep understanding moved to sing along. They are both excited and honored to share with you what God has allowed them to create to glorify his name.
