Milk & Honey is the fourth studio album by American Contemporary Christian musician Crowder.

The album title was inspired by the promise of God bringing Israelites up out of Egypt and leading them into Canaan, a land "flowing with milk and honey" as documented in the Book of Exodus.

The first track on the album, 'Good God Almighty' has this great energy, this upbeat track is the perfect opener to any album. The album takes a small shift with the track 'In The House' which mixes together a little bit of pop a little bit of folk and and country, but has that creative edge that Crowder has always added to his music.

When you listen to a Crowder album/song you are always taken on a journey, what I found with this album more than ever is that Crowder has written straight up lyrics. There is no getting away from it, this song is about meeting at the feet of Jesus, the hymn like song of 'He Is' really lets this come to the forefront. On a quick side note, I love the bridge of the track 'He Is'.

I have always found that albums named after a track on the album have this extra pressure to be good, because it seems like the whole album is based around that song. The song 'Milk & Honey' is a thumping, driven track that has a little bit of a folk swagger, I have to admit not my favourite on the album, still a good track but this again shows another side of the musical composure of the brilliance of Crowder.

The album has so many amazing and different styled songs, songwriting wise Crowder has shown his musical style in so many different ways. From 'Higher Power' which has a slightly edgier feel, 'Sweet Jesus' has a catchy chorus and 'God Really Loves Us' is, wow, so powerful. This album has some massive songs that will keep you going back to listen to again and again.

For me and this is a very bold statement but I think this album is Crowder's most complete album as a solo artist. This album feels current, creative but most of all it's an album that is built around love - this comes over so much in the lyrics. Great job Crowder.
