LoveLike Violence Returns With New Single 'Apocalypse'

May 12 2022

LoveLike Violence returns with their new single Apocalypse. Penned by lead vocalist Stephanie Spencer, Apocalypse tells the heart-wrenching story of a pre-teen grappling with the horror and pain of domestic abuse. Lead vocalist Stephen Spencer powerfully belts out compelling lyrics that serve as euphoniums for the trauma residue. In true LoveLike Violence fashion, the band reminds us that the most substantial walls are built from challenging bricks. We can find solace amongst the emotional rubble through our Heavenly Father.

Ohio-based, LoveLike Violence took a 6-year hiatus to focus on family and their daughter Emberly, now 5-years old. Stephanie and Stephen’s love for the daughter inspired them to write a new song dedicated to Emberly, bringing them back to their passion for music. After playing the record for their label head Akil Brown, they collectively decided it was time to get back to the studio. A year later, their new project, Paper Bag, was born.

Fans will notice that LoveLike Violence brings a new sound to Paper Bag. This new project is a true blend of each band member’s musical taste, taking bits of rock, country, and rap, fusing them with Christian-based lyrics to create a perfect blend rooted in each band member’s musical DNA.

Apocalypse” will be available on all streaming platforms starting May 20, 2022. Their sophomore album, Paper Bag, is expected to be released later this year.
