The six-song EP features the recent single 'Is There Anything Too Hard For You', an uplifting worship anthem - a declaration of faith in God's power to change lives and turn situations around.

The 6 track album opens with a wonderful bass sound, which is the starting point to a very catchy song in Snowball. This alt-pop start for me is the perfect platform for the rest of the album. Mikey likes to write. Mostly, he like writing songs. And then singing them. Songs about hopes and doubts and dreams. Songs about love. Songs about procrastination. Songs about messing up. Songs about his old housemate, Ben Amos. Songs about the pain of stepping on a Lego Brick.
This honest, real life approach to songwriting comes over in abundance in the lyrics of the album. These are songs that you could sing while on the way to work, songs to sing when at the gym, but they are also songs that you can sing in your church's times of worship, especially tracks like Miracle Mercy and Thank You. There are also songs on this album that you would want to sing in your own personal time, especially the song 'Is There Anything Too Hard For You' which is a beautiful and tender love song to God.
What I really liked about this EP is the creativity of the musicianship, every track has its own sound and character which adds layers to the release. One moment you have a catchy pop number the next there is a little bit of funky rock and then the next moment you have an intimate acoustic worship song, and this is where Mikey's songwriting strength comes to the front.
Sometimes it isn't easy for me to summarise an album. It's easy to just say 'go check this out', but here the only way personally I can end this review is to say I really liked the style and sound of what Mikey Powell is making and I hope you do too.
