Philippines Worship Leader Mary Ozaraga Releases 'Beautiful Mess'
Mary Ozaraga, a Singer-Songwriter and Worship Leader from Cebu in the Philippines, has released 'Beautiful Mess', a Christmas ballad that takes the story of Jesus full circle. But more than Christmas, the song transcends seasons, with a message relevant all year round.
The world culture emphasizes on gift giving during Christmas to a point where we become most materialistic. This song talks about the greatest gift ever given - amazing grace coming in the package of tattered flesh, woven in Blood divine - a Beautiful Mess, in the hope that we will not shortchange the reason for the season. Joining Mary in this track is her father, Ike Ozaraga, on saxophone.
Mary began sharing her music during the lockdowns in 2020, eventually releasing 3 singles & a 3 track Christmas EP in 2021, and 3 more singles in 2022. Her playfulness and musical influences are seen in how she experiments with song styles, ranging from folk/singer songwriter to rap/rhythmic to alternative/symphonic rock.
