Standing Phase Shines Light On Spiritual Truths With 'Journey's End'
'Journey's End' is the 6th new release from Brighton based band Standing Phase, due for release on Friday 24th February 2023. Produced by Mark Edwards (Katie Melua) and Josh Gale (Bombay Bicycle Club) Mixed by Michael Child (Martin Smith, Gas Street Worship) and Mastered by Grammy and Dove Award winning Mastering Engineer Drew Lavyne (Sting, Kings of Leon, The White Stripes) - the song takes you on a musical journey, shining light on some spiritual truths. The main hook of this song “Love came down and rescued me” says it all. This song speaks of how God is Love - how he came down in person to rescue us.
“Our hope is that people will find this song uplifting, truthful and filled with a sense of wonder of God’s love for them. It’s a song we’ve been working on for a while and it’s always felt quite special to us so we haven’t wanted to rush the process; giving time and space to let the musical ideas and the lyrics develop, breathe and take shape. We’ve had such amazing people working with us on this song including some wonderful singers who make up the choir of voices and our fantastic producers Mark Edwards and Josh Gale - we’re so grateful for everyone’s encouragement and response so far to this song.”
Standing Phase will be doing a special intimate acoustic launch gig on Sat 25th Feb at Blend and Brew (Brighton) to promote this new single and have plans for a lyric video and live gig version of the song to be released shortly after.
