Ian Yates Releases 'The Hope And The Glory'
British worship leader Ian Yates launched his new album 'The Hope And The Glory' at a special show in the Liverpool Lighthouse last night, 16th May. The 11 song album is released today and was produced by Trevor Michael. It is Ian's debut release with Survivor Records, following several independent releases including his 2007 album 'Desperate To See Your Glory'.
Discussing the album in a recent interview with LouderThanTheMusic, Ian said "It's so important that we as followers of Christ see ourselves as God sees us and not how we see ourselves. I believe this is a key to seeing breakthrough in our nation, that as we begin to see ourselves as God sees us our lives change, we begin to realise the power that raised Christ from the dead lives within us, that we are righteous and that we can see greater things. My hope for this album is that it really inspires people and that God would touch and transform lives through it."
Ian leads worship at Bootle Elim Pentecostal Church, Liverpool, and first came into the spotlight when two of the songs from his independent album, 'Desperate To See Your Glory' and 'No One Like You', were picked to be included on Soul Survivor's 'The People's Album 3'. Ian's song 'Father Of Compassion' was then later featured on the Survivor Summer Sampler as a bonus track.
