Hollywood stunt pilot, award-winning singer/songwriter, and author Jeff Senour has achieved a high-altitude milestone with his debut CCM single and video, “Angels Watching Over Me,” from Universal Music Group’s Mi5 Recordings.

Venturing into uncharted territory, this "pilot by day/rocker by night" quickly climbed into the Top 20 with a Christian song on one of the industry's most important mainstream rock charts.

“Angels Watching Over Me,” Senour's first single on Universal, entered the DRT Global Top 50 Rock Airplay Chart at #29 and quickly rose to #16, sharing the Top 20 with mainstream artists Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Godsmack, Fall Out Boy, and more.

"It strikes me as nothing short of miraculous to hit #16 on the rock airplay chart with my first single," says Senour. "I think the world is craving stories with a message of hope, and that’s what we are offering."

The companion video for “Angels Watching Over Me" currently has 1.9 million views on YouTube.

The new single, produced by Jeremy Parker (Evanescence, Godsmack) and Ted Mason (Peter Gabriel, Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg, Modern English), is a thrill ride of the tallest order. The song escalates with walls of stacked guitars and Beatlesque harmonies.

The collective results are perfectly matched for a shell-shocked society emerging from the Covid crisis, as the song confronts the subjects of fear and spiritual warfare.

"Like any emergency that arises in aviation, just like in life, fear can overcome us in a moment, but God tells us hundreds of times in the Bible to have no fear. His angels are always watching over us," says Senour.

“There are also living angels,” he adds, “those people who put others before self-servants, like our military and first responders, who are the real heroes of this world, not the fairy tale ones.

Senour, already a multi-award winner as an indie artist, was recently signed to Universal Music Group’s Mi5 Recordings after label president Ted Mason listened to an earlier version of Angels and Miracles, which was previously released independently. Mason loved the music, and wanted to release it to the label's worldwide audience-significantly reimagined.

“I am working very closely in producing and working Angels and Miracles, Jeff Senour's upcoming release," says Mason, a well-known singer/songwriter/guitarist, producer, and former member of multi-platinum British rock/pop band Modern English. “I have great respect for Jeff-he is a great singer and a humble man of honor."

Senour couldn’t be more excited to share his music with a wider audience.

“It’s easy to get caught up in the cares of the world and lose sight of what’s important,” he muses. “While everyone faces the inevitable ups and downs of life, each of our journeys boils down to the same basic desires-loving our families and friends, living each day to its fullest, and leaving a legacy behind that inspires others."

The gratitude-filled perspective on life that he shares through his music was largely formed during Senour's career as a pilot. During his riveting ride, he has seen the inspiring splendor of God’s creation from the best seat in the sky.

Raised by his actress/musician mother and his pilot stepfather, Senour earned his wings in a Learjet during college, and then went on to pilot charter flights for a slew of famous celebrities, CEOs and other high-profile clients. He has also enjoyed an extensive Hollywood movie career.

In multiple blockbuster hits, Senour has flown a state-of-the-art aerial camera platform called Vectorvision as a stunt pilot and aerial coordinator, accumulating credits in iconic films including True Lies, Executive Decision, The Silence of the Lambs, Hot Shots, Space Cowboys, and many more, as well as classic TV shows including Murder She Wrote, The Fall Guy, Knight Rider, and more.

He also flew as a Senior Captain for Southwest Airlines, where he won the prestigious Presidents Award. and became known as "The Singing Pilot." All the while, this sky's-the-limit singer/songwriter/pilot had a guitar by his side, often singing for passengers prior to flights and via countless other platforms.

Senour’s vertically-focused journeys have not only made their way into his upcoming album, Angels and Miracles, on Universal Music Group’s Mi5 Recordings, but they are also the subject of his recently released book, Life Lessons From 7 Miles High: The View That Captured My Heart.

"Flying has inspired much of my songwriting because of that perspective,” Senour says. “My music has become a ministry to pass on to others. It’s my hope and prayer that it touches many lives.”
