Tommee Profitt Releases 'The Birth of a King (Live)'
Producer, songwriter, and award-winning composer Tommee Profitt will release his album "The Birth Of A King" (Live) on November 10th, following by an event of the same name at The Opry on December 4th.
Tommee shares the story behind the production. "For years, I jotted down chorus ideas, lyric ideas, arrangement ideas, knowing that someday I would put together my "Masterpiece" …the thing I would forever be remembered for. One December morning in 2013, I woke up as I was about to play for a Christmas service at a church, and I heard the entire chorus for Noel, from start to finish.
We were already planned to sing "The First Noel" that morning, so I quickly scribbled out words and chords and handed it to the band an hour before service. We quickly ran through it in rehearsal, and performed it that morning. Ever since then, I held onto that chorus, as I knew it would be the cornerstone to my Christmas album that I wanted to make someday. I didn't know it would happen 7 years later, and I had no idea that in those 7 years I would meet and become great friends with Stanaj, who I believe is one of the best singers on the planet. I'm not sure there's anybody out there who could have delivered this song and message quite like he did. God was clearly in all of that."
