The Great Commission Society (GCS) and Firstfruits Music Awards (FMA) have joined forces to unveil a series of engaging quarterly online workshops specially designed for our talented song contestants.

For Christian singer-songwriters and musical artists, these workshops promise to be an invaluable resource, propelling their artist development to new heights.

The first of these workshops will be delivered online on 2nd February '24. Aptly titled “Empowering Musicians and Songwriters to Impact the World Through Their Music,” will provide essential insights into: What Defines Gospel Music, The Essence of the Gospel, Forging Connections Between Music, the Gospel, & Worship, Biblical Perspectives on Music and Key Objectives of a Successful Gospel Music Ministry.

Tony Anthony, CEO and Founder of Great Commission Society said, "Partnering with FMA and its community of music artists makes complete sense. The engaging training workshops GCS offer will help FMA’s contestants improve their Gospel fluency to help unleash their full potential to reach the world through music. GCS will create opportunities for music artists to go on short-term missions where they can gain first-hand experience serving alongside our global missionary teams. This will help to cultivate a heart for missions and a deeper understanding of the Gospel, so that the next time they sit down to write a song the message of God’s love will flow through their lyrics!”

Workshop 2 - 3rd June '24 - Unpacking the Gospel Genre, The Harmony of Gospel, Music and Message, Music's Integral Role in Worship & Biblical Insights into Music.

Workshop 3 - 17th July '24 - Why Musical Excellence Matters to God, Balancing Excellence and Devotion, Success Metrics from a Divine Perspective & Enhancing Your Sound without Compromising the Message.

Workshop 4 - 8th November '24 - The Significance of a Worship Set, Defining Worship Through the Bible, Conveying the Gospel Through Lyrics & Illuminating Jesus in Your Songs.
