Ruth A Harris Releases New Single 'Run To Me'

Apr 30 2024

Ruth A Harris, a singer/songwriter and self producer from North Birmingham UK, releases her new single 'Run To Me' on 25th April.

'Run To Me' is Ruth’s first Solo release of 2024, as she delves deeper into the topic of difficult emotional spaces and faith. Through lyrics full of probing questions, she makes it easy for listeners who find themselves in challenging circumstances to relate. “Life is full of different emotions, and throughout life we will find ourselves in varying emotional states.

There are plenty of songs that reflect the upbeat, fun sides of life, but when you are caught between a rock and a hard place, those are not always the songs we need. In our most difficult moments, we need to know that we are seen, heard, understood, and not alone. We need to see the light at the end of the tunnel, to be encouraged not to lose hope and to have a bigger perspective. I hope this song does just that.”

Ruth describes herself as a “late bloomer“- restarting her musical journey in the last 3 years after a long time away, and says that she has “music in her bones“. Most of her songs have an ethereal quality, and it has often been said that Ruth‘s music carries a sense of peace and calm amid the deep and thoughtful lyrics that are her hallmark.

As a writer, Ruth aspires to write music that helps people to feel heard, seen and known and to ask the questions or say things that perhaps others aren‘t. Honesty and authenticity are values that she treasures, and hopes that in a world of air brushing, highlight reels and false promotion that her music brings a breath of fresh air, as she attempts to vulnerably “say it as it is“.
